    1handwonder:

Just to clarify a couple of points on why you should change the pic on your web site:

…the pic shows some nice marbles and ABD makes marbles so I guess association of products...
Those are not marbles in the photo, - they are furnace blown orbs that are quite

@ Doshes: please tell me where this boat scene on my site
The orbs are displayed in a full sized boat

It definitely sounds like you’re building a state of the art production shop, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I wish you the best of luck with your endeavor!

P.S. - You mentioned several times that you will be helping veterans, and I was curious if you will only be hiring / teaching prior military personnel?

I'd get internet for your workers. Maybe health insurance?

So since you aren't an artist, what is your shop offering to artists besides a place to work, under someone who doesn't understand their needs? How are you paying them? Do they get benefits? What's your business model besides just a production shop? What are you doing that's so game changing? what are the growth opportunities as an artist? Are you offering employment contracts? What hours are you expecting?

Just some general questions tht come to mind when considering employment under someone else...I mean, maybe I'm wrong but I'm assuming you're on these boards to recruit artists and support for your shop within the community, so tell us what you're all about.

First and foremost, before anything of value goes in, get a monitored security system with audio and video.

I just took a $20k+ hit on a break in that lasted less than 15 minutes total.

Doors are definitly open to the shop although there is still some building going on. Feel free to hit me up with any questions or if you want to come by and check it out. just to clarify some questions i saw on here. I have been on the torch for roughly 5 years with some breaks in between. Artist get paid hourly with everything provided (tools, glass, torch, etc). There are a few basic styles were sticking to for production however definitly no limit on creativity.

So I finally got out to ABD to check the shop out. I gotta say, its coming along very nicely and the people involved all seem like stand up peeps.

and as a side note: the new website face looks great and does a much better job of representing the company.
