I'm all about the micros so I have to say 14mm for a dome but 18mm for a slide

I have more people requesting 18mm stuff, it seems to be on the rise. Last year, it was all about 14mm stuff. Things are swinging a little now.

No really I was taught that way. It is venetian. That is how lampworking was invented. Back 5000 years ago, it was to enslave women and children and make them make christmas ornaments wile the men worked in the hotshop.

Origins

Glassblowing is a glass forming technique which was invented by the Phoenicians at approximately 50 BC somewhere along the Syro-Palestinian coast. Lampworked beads (with the exception of Asian and African beadmaking) have generally been the provenance of Italian, and, later, Bohemian lampworkers for the last four hundred years or so who kept the techniques secret. Thirty or so years ago, some American artists started experimenting with the form. Their early efforts, by today's standards, were crude, as there was almost no documentation, and none of the modern tools. However, they shared their information, and some of them started small businesses developing tools, torches and other equipment.

Given the large size of some oil rigs I prefer a 14mm fitting. I've also seen both sizes but 14 seems to be the norm around here.

Julian, you just missed the riots tuesday night. EVERY officer was called in to respond, they were waking up off duty officers... down town went crazy. I'm not sure your pay booth is still there.
