nomad is not a historian. that is where you are confused. he is who is.

what he says goes and we all just follow...

Meals, you are one hell of a junior internet historian, but alas, you are wrong. I can't believe some noob would have the audacity to argue with the knowledge of Nomad. What on earth is happening to lampworking these days?

I have a few shops that won't buy rigs with 14m fittings and won't buy anything oil related that's not 18. I don't get it. They must be in cahoots with each other. They say 14m nails are too small and there too cool for them I guess. I just make more 18s but like 14 for travel/mini rigs. I don't know why but 14s are easier to hand make for me. I can pump out 14m fittings. Weird.

They dont complain about 10 or 14m swings and my swings generally are one of those two. Its just domes. And I make mostly domed rigs because I don't have a good supply of ti pads. I can make quarts nails. Shops always want them ready to use.

both, i have wholesale orders that have been 75% 18mm 25% 14mm, as well as 100% 14mm, 100% 18mm, or 50/50...i really wish i was able to tie it to a specific sized joint so, well, i wouldnt have to buy as many different sized joints but that never worked out..i would say if u were just going to be making one size o the other id do 14s
