All joints these days are made different depths and out of different thicknesses so it could be made but it would fit the joint size that I measured it up to. Also think they would have to be made as a pair and octagon and a cone for finishing it off smooth.

Depth is not what counts with this. They 95% of them are made to a 10:1 taper. The taper is what matters on this.

BTW: Great looking tools. I plan to pick some up as soon as I get some extra scratch.

i make joints with the graphite one i posted a lot, no need for a coned one. Problem is they do wear out......brass one= that problem solved!!

I would also be interested in some 10:1 reamers. One for 18mm joints and one for 14mm joints.

I should be able to post the proto type ground joint tool this weekend. I will post a picture after I use it a couple of times to show the joint with it. Should be able to keep the cost down on these and not to crazy!
