The reason why these things never work is because nobody takes charge and lays down specific guidelines… every team or project needs a leader.
Let’s just leave it as red and blue, along with silver fume. Any ruby will work, no matter what the manufacturer. The same with the cobalt… cobalt 2,3,4,5, turbo, Chinese, etc.
I just want to avoid getting a beautiful OG Moss section, and trying to make it flow with an orange crayon piece (or similar mismatched colors). Tube sections, latty, marbles / attachments will be used.
Feel free to send your piece(s) to my address, or bring them to AGI. Whatever we have we’ll work with. Let’s just keep this as a simple overall concept, and not bog it down with too much debate.
I still want to stay with Adam’s concept of selling the piece for the GLDG. Since we don’t sell pipes at our place, I would like to see it go to a large shop / gallery where it can fetch a good buck to keep this place running : )

P.S.- I’m really busy at the moment, so I’ll chime in again later when I have more time.
Julian is right. Pretty much everyone will let you use their torch as long as you are polite and competent.
I don't Bring my torch, and I am always able to work as much as I want.

Just so I'm on the same page. I have a ticket, I'm going to AGI this year ... so I can bring my component(s) to AGI with me and it's going to be assembled there? Soooooooo damn kewl AND the monies will flow back into the forum? I'm so in. I'm just going to make horns, marbles and little things you can feel free to stick in there somewhere. What are the main colors again? I'm not worthy of anything "special" but would be damn proud to just be a part of it.

Wow, running with it. Ok red and blue, BUT... Lets also let that include the palette water and fire for th linework guys, so White and Blue shades, and lava, red, and black combos. And Cream/neutral colors. Honestly I don't think anything would clash too bad as long as there isn't Circus looking crayon colors.
I'm down with sending it to Wonka for assembly , I'm starting with a huge thick base and some separate horns/wings, maybe a disk or a tree frog, I make these frog shaped diffusers... have it in the mail by friday. I've never been to AgI before but I'm looking forward to it, I'm in PA too, guess I better get on signing up.
Anyway it will be fun, and if we keep making pieces like this people will start intuitively knowing who does what best and there will probably be some really good colabs.
Adam, your idea is awesome and I decided to run with it. We have to keep it simple... red, blue, and silver fume. They're very stable colors, and the beauty will be in the execution.
I'm sorry to override you you on the color combo, but this is how ideas fall apart. Simple, basic, stable colors in any design. "creamy colors" cover a wide swatch, and something like Carmel can look different from torch to torch.
