Re: Herbert Arnold 40mm for sale
Those things brand spanking new are $2600 from ABR imagery. As a current Herbie owner, I got mine for $1865 about 7 years ago from ABR... the same one as pictured, with the new knobs and everything. I would say anywhere between $1600 to $2000 is probably fair for a used one, with decent age and normal use. That being said, knowing how well these things hold up, I wouldn't sell mine for less than $2000 that's for sure. (But mine isn't for sale, sorry). I would keep mine and get a second one to upgrade my assistant's workstation thou. Due to the raising value of the Euro and the falling value of the Dollar, these will only get more expensive as time goes on. BTW: They are a workhorse that performs perfectly every time. Hope this helps with valuation. Good luck on finding a new home for your torch. Something tells me that I don't think you will have a problem with that thou.
PS: The L-Marver that is attached... Worth every penny! If that is included... get that torch. The only thing you could do to help improve performance is 1) attach a second stage propane regulator next to the torch to give more control over the flame atmosphere, and 2) get a foot peddle. With both of these additions, you will have a monster of a torch!

Could have made hundreds of thousands of dollars off a $1865 torch in the last 7 years, and wouldn't sell it for less than 2k. You know, if you'd sell it. I'd pay $1800 for the torch above, if I had the money. Course I dont(cough).

Just guessing, but it does look like the older model with that single port center fire the new ones have that lame ass 7star JK "wish I had one"

Re: Herbert Arnold 40mm for sale
You're talking about the new models with the old style center fire. It's easy to tell that they're newer models too(even though they have old style center fire), because of the oxygen knob on the top of the torch(among other things). At least that's my understanding. Older models are pretty old......
