Really nice slab work you're making there. I never knew your son but you're doing a really great job of elevating the memory of you son with your art.

Beautiful work, Pat. I suspect that Graham is delighted with the direction you're moving in. Much love and light to you and your family, and the very best of luck to you for your upcoming shows.

Nice pitchers!
Honestly, I could not think of a better way for an artist's memory to live on than in the hearts and minds of a community of his peers. We all know that someone very special to this craft of ours was taken far to soon, and it seems very fitting that we (both his online family and his real one) keep his memory at the forefront of our thoughts.
Pat, I never had the chance to meet your son, but I have much respect for him as a artist and person. Keep doing your thing. One love.
Love and respect to all who come here.
We've been BURNING the midnight oil here...glazing and firing our final peices to take to market over the next few weeks. All of my clay supply is exhausted...but I have about 40 pitchers and 40 "trays" (ash...stash...candy...jewelry...valet....etc.) to show as a result.
The form below is Graham-inspired. When it came to my mind I was thinking about his glassblowing and how organic all of the shapes usually are. From there I saw curves and motion....and the next thing I knew I was looking at this drawing/pattern before me. In true Graham fashion...I built one....and then before I knew it..there were a dozen of them sitting on the table.
I'm very proud of these....... definitely a step in the right direction IMO
I love you my son.
The torch has been passed
His flame will burn on.
We had the honor of gifting Graham's torch, kiln, and tools to Turtle Glass this week. As a family we decided it was what he would have wanted.
It was great to complete the circle. He would be proud.
BURN!
MTN BURN!
respect to all.

Again YALL KICK ASS, Im so honered !! Loved getting to know yall the most![]()
Beautiful stuff; glad to see that I'm not the only one who does something other than glass also.
Wish I would have paid more attention to what he was doing and had him give me some guidance, Kush. The ceramics seemed like something I could do without frying my ass/without much guidance...so that's where I headed.
Was so good to meet you guys. We see now why he enjoyed yer company so damn much. I know he would be proud we hooked and that you have the torch/kiln. I hope things are goin well in the new place! So exciting!
be well, all
P
For this to be the start of a progression thread, I could only imagine where you go from here. lol Nice work
