I'm more and more intrigued by the upholstered seat.

Is the hook for an umbrella or something?

ya, i always wondered wtf the hooks are for too. its actually an old barber chair my lady bought, she is a hairdresser. she never ended up using it, so its part of my funky living room furniture. people love it, its adjustable, and goes up and down, whee!

That's funny kut my chick is also a hairdresser and when I bought my house I bought her a chair like that had it all reupholstered and set up a hair cutting room only to find out she hates cutting hair when she's not working at her salon. Now it's furniture in our living room and people love it.

Ooo btw pieces are sick as always.

Really dig the colors and shaping of that unit. Seals on the worked joints look really good!

thanks guys. i sent that one to ALT, should be up soon i think, should be my highest price piece when they mark it up.

i made some black tubing, then fumed with silver striped half then fumed with gold. really liking it, here is the first one, second one is a lot nicer i think, still in the kiln.

This is probably the most inspirational thread on TMP in my opinion. Looking from the first posts, its amazing. Since you only started in late '09 basically '10. Only three years on the torch and you have some of the most sought-after pieces on the market. Your work is sick (especially line work, my favorite) and you perfected your form and what you wanted to make, doing it the right way. Amazing work and you have been inspiring me since i got on this site in early '11. Thanks.

hey just take it easy, i'm still pretty terrible. people just like me cuz' of my charisma i think

here's a piece with some sections of fuming on black, and some sections of fuming on clear inserted, kinda funky.

That fuming looks tasty, Kut. Especially on the front of the curve/bell.
