I'm having a hard time imagining 'swinging' glass around.... are you guys heating up a large chunk of the rod (say 5-6") all at once and then pulling it? Never thought to try that way.

Yeah, I probably heat about 4" for an arm span 2mm pull, I just heat less for a thin "drawing" stringer or more for a thicker one. Try it and you will experience the "swinging" glass first hand! I do a back and forth swing, to keep it under control.

Always good to have you at the shop, but you need to keep up on your water tab. It's gettin a little out of control.
