    Well trying to push my phantom. Is 50x5 too much? Thanks for any advice!

    it depends on what you are doing with it... I was laying 1/4" backed dichro onto 50x5 and it was a struggle though once I added a second to do a crossfire it ended up going better.

    I use 50mm solid with my phantom.

    Torch size really only limits the amount of glass you can heat and move at one time.

    On a small torch......
    You will limit the size you can make a solid marble
    You will limit the size of a blown bubble.

    almost all other Lamp working can be done on a small torch . IT JUST TAKES LONGER.
    You only need a small amount of your work hot , to do any step you are on .

    Even with a vac stack , you don't have to heat the whole thing , you can pull it down a little at a time.

    I made stuff over 14" on my mini cc . Can it be done , yes. Did it take too long, yes.

    A phantom is a full size torch , It will do anything you ask , and not take too long . ( within reason )

    I vac down 50x5mm stacks with solid rod in the middle for can prep.
