I got started with glass in 1997 in Tucson Arizona. I worked for a small production studio for a little over a year before it went bust. I ended up going off on my own at that point and never stopped.
In around 2001, I was randomly approached by the owner of GFI (a scientific glass company) at my studio one day and basically offered a job. I went to work for them 3-4 days a week. At first, I worked primarily on repairing various lab equipment. By the time I left, I was making and repairing all of the small to mid sized borosilicate apparatus.
Currently, I work from my studio in the DFW area.

This decanter stands about 14 inches tall with the lid on and would be the talk of any dinner party!

Pics will never do this piece justice but a few of our members have seen this in Madison as it was in a silent auction there. The winning bid was $250 but we could not reach the winning bidder...sad face. But! That means more of you get to see it now and maybe Jesse will get a little more promotion out of it this way.
