welcome Joanne!
Hey now! I am Joanne and I have been lampworking for about 11 years now. I have been one of those "bead ladies" most of that time, but here I am, now in a new glass shop and ready to jump over to the boro side.
Now that I've made a couple of marbles, I feel comfy outting myself.
I am in western ma, and Mojoglass is where you can find me.
Of course, I have been reading over here for some time.....you have taught me much already, so thank you!
welcome Joanne!

Hammer here. I've been a scientific glassblower for 25 years. I'm currently working on my "retirement" business plan. I will have enough scientific work to make some money but I want to establish a product line of art work as well. I'm in the process of figuring out where my studio will be. I'm leaning towards a 15 * 15 shed although the attached garage is still an option depending on what the Insurance nazi has to say.
My name is Dylan. I've been blowing glass for a few years now and I'm trying to meet glassblowers in the Los Angeles area to blow glass with
Hi, everyone the names Tarqy aka Dan from the UK. It all started for me when I watched Degenerate art on netflix, and then I looked into vortex marbles on google images and WOW I got sucked in. So now I've decided to take it further, I got myself on a beadmaking class a couple of weeks ago and soon after got myself a little setup. I'm now in the process of building my studio and found this place very informative. Anyway just a quick hello and cheers...
Hey Mike Myers here, Wanderlust Art Glass. This has been a hobby since 2007 but in 2011 I really stepped it up, and end of 2013 I quit my job to play with glass full time! I have 3 torches set up in Platteville, WI if anybody wants to come torch for a while hit me up
Howdy! My name is Tony T, I'm located for now in bakersfield, ca. I've mainly been lurking here soaking up as much information as I can, but have posted a few times. I have been in love with art glass since I got my first real handmade heady piece almost 3 years ago. I just recently(just over 2 weeks) started working with soft glass on a devardi(hothead knockoff.) I've been able to make pendants and even a few marbles I liked, and a bunch of others that weren't so great. Once I have a little more to post I'll start a progression thread but more then anything I'm here to learn! Thank you everyone for sharing your knowledge and experience, I'm starting to realize that the art glass community is just as cool as the glass itself! Have great days
Started spun glass as a job for K&M in 1981, work at a prison in Michigan and still do glass today
Hi folks. Names Garrett. First worked boro in 2008. Only lasted a few months. Found a torch to play with again in 2010. Again only lasted a few months. Got my own torch (GTT Scorpion) in 2012, then my Carlisle CC in 2013. Been full time (for the most part) ever since. Mostly doing prodo style wrap and rakes. Though when I can get my hands on a tank or two I plug in the Carlisle and do some prodo I/O work. Still very much so a beginner but I'd like to be your friend. Find me on the facebook with Pieceful Glassworks. Peace.
Hello all,
Name's Austin Hensley (Hensley Artglass) first got addicted to the torch at nine years of age watching miniatures be made at the Arizona Renaissance Festival. Got my first torch in my early teens and have been working with glass full time for a handful of years but have been torching for roughly 15 years. I make a lot of pendants and some functional pieces. My studio is stuffed into the front ten feet of a 1964 GMC Coach and my family owns and runs a full service gas station out of a 1942 vintage Texaco station. I have been making these Glasstronaut pendants for a couple years hope you all like them.
