Default Litton "HSA" or Model "M" on ebay mine.

I have a listing on ebay right now for a Litton Model "M" glass working lathe. The listing is a little unique as I have an "HSA" available as an option, and I show both units in the auction. The reason I am doing this, is the "HSA" may sell sooner because it is more "portable" which certain shops like. The M is also larger and heavier to ship. Either are available for pick up locally in the Salt Lake City area. It's an either or listing, because I will keep the one that does not sell. I have room for either one, and would be happy which ever way it goes. I am just trying to get the quickest sale possible for a friend who had this as part of her father's estate. Item number 191107539248

OK, This lathe will be sold I am sure. We will be having a "real Dutch Auction". Right now I have someone interested in the Model M. The offer is only $10,000. What we are going to do is every day or so, at various times, lower the starting price of the auction, until we have to get to the low offer we have now. The deal is still for either of the lathes. (please note, the estate would prefer to not pay the online fees, if you know what I mean) all funds must be in hand and completely cleared before shipping. At this point, either lathe is in the deal. There is a slight possibility the $10,000 deal may be accepted without the almost new Litton chucks, which then could be sold separate. Anyone want a lathe out there? PM me or email me, I am still traveling for the rest of this week, but do have better email access. You may also try to call me at the number in the listing, but I have limited cell coverage where I am, so text me or leave a message.

Priced dropped again a couple of times. Either lathe, your choice. This should be a pretty good deal for someone.

Where does the price need to be so this deal finds a buyer? Discussion?

SEM lathes list their new, domestically manufactured lathes at $9k, and this new price point is driving used sales down in value

9000? I could not find a price at the web site. Anyway I'm sure those are great machines but Litton Lathes are so durable. Both of mine were built in the early 60's and have yet to be rebuilt.

No problem. I'm a little cranky today after spending so much bank on a torch. LOL

Anyway I would STRONGLY recommend either of these lathes to anyone considering a lathe. It's killing me that I'm "not allowed" to buy either lathe according to my wife.

Have her call me, maybe I can talk her into it

It looks as if we may have a buyer for the "M" at $10K, or the HSA for $10.5K. I just need approval from the owner of the estate. (Unless we get someone who wants to go $11K? for either lathe?)

OK, let's look at this a little different. You may have an EE lathe, and would love these chucks. You may have EE chucks, and want this "M" lathe. I am willing to sell separate to two happy homes if we can find them! Make offers if you want for either or. If we can come to a total amount that pleases the estate, everybody wins!

We have a buyer for that Model "M". Listing has been taken down. Thanks for the discussion!
