Friendship requests

Is this like the Buddy List? or is it different?

How is it meant to be used- does it notify 'friends' when you're online, or limit their access to you through PMs or??

There are options to see "friends posts" and such, that will make it useful.

So you could conceivably only look at friends' posts? kinda weird, but I'll bite I guess.

Click on "my profile" up at the very top of the page, then on the right side you'll see only your friends' recent posts.

I had a friendship request a while back and cannot figure out how to accept it, it just stays in my notifications, and when I click it it takes me to their profile but nothing happens and no prompt. Im sure I am missing some obvious thing. My computer skills are about as good as my spelling and grammar haha.
