Experimenting with color today. Implosions, encasements, latticcino pulls and the like. Made a couple little play things. Will post pics if anything survives.

Beta sun catcher using scrap rods. If I wasn't so afraid of it exploding in the kiln, I'd experiment with some color rods. Will make a few out of clear like this and see how they last before moving on from the prototype.

Experimenting with color on my flowers. This is purple thunder encased in clear. Very different from my last one that I didn't encase. I see the color recipe thread, but of anyone has one they wanna throw my way anyways, it's always appreciated. Thanks for looking, everyone!

Ok make that 3. One more in the oven. Starting to experiment with color in my implosions. This will turn out nice and yeller.

I haven't been in the shop since 7/9.. It feels so good to get back in. Woooo! Didn't make anything worthwhile. Pulled a bunch of bullets and cleaned shop. Played around for a little. Here some pics:

First attempt at retti work. Need to work on that termination point... And everything else about it.

    First attempt at an eyeball

    Then I just started playing.

    Keep on burnin people!! Cheers!

    Thanks misha!

I let this guy bench cool a couple days ago and forgot about it. It looks pretty shitty so I got some good lighting/angles instead. You know, to deceive you.

    Maybe next time!

Ordered some gold... Gonna practice more with silver before I start burning through the expensive stuff. Any techniques or tips anyone would like to share about getting better colors out of silver/gold/copper? Fuming I would be grateful. Thanks everyone have a great day!

There are some amazing threads on here about fuming. So my best tip for that would be to find them and read. And then try it. And then read some more, and try it again.

Gold makes it a whole new world!

    What torch are you on?

Thanks misha... I've been hunting but I feel like I'm not finding the one I need. I know literally nothing about fuming other than the few times I've tried it. Do you have any articles you could point me to? I promise I'm not being lazy. I spent all day looking for striking color tutorials and I seem to be missing that too... It's like I can find the cycles and stuff and I read the mountain glass page which says a lot, but doesn't tell me much on exactly how to do it. Without watching someone I'm at a loss. After 5 hours of research little result I'm a little tired. If you have any threads you can point me to to help me save a little time i would greaaaatly appreciate it

So the best advice I've gotten so far has been vague... "Make love to it don't make a porno with it" and strangely enough that has helped.

I'm trying to get more hue out of it. I've seen fuming techs that get rainbows. This founding the road in San Antonio doing some amazing work.. Smoglass

I'm assuming this is just gold and silver fume half and half.. Huge lense tiny implosion. Check him out on Instagram the guy does amazing work.

Just trying to get more hue with my fuming. I came across a thread that said pole were striking fuming ?? Idk maybe I just don't understand how striking works. I have striking colors that I feel like I'm just burning the shit out of and can't figure out how to not strike it til it's ready. I try babying the flame but obviously I just don't understand the concept. Anyways .. Specific question? Uhhhhhh......? Haha. Any info you can point me towards without going too far out of your way would help. I have purchased a few ebooks that helped with a lot of fundamental stuff and looking through some similar ones for fuming.

Love you guys and all of the wisdom you are willing to lay on me. Thank you for everything!!
