i need a website, nothin crazy, but a website to show my work to shops, prices, sell some shit, blah blah blah i know its easy, i just am not good with computers, so whats up
Hey Forum,
Recently I was helping out a friend with a computer issue long distance over the interwebs via remote helping him fix his computer issues. He knew I was somewhat of a “Noob” on the torch and said he’d send a care package of Glass stuff for me. You can imagine my surprise that I could be awarded with glass goodies for just using my day job skills! This was beneficial to both of us since I had skills from my full time “Day Job” to help him out and he had extras lying around from his full time “Day Job”.
I feel that there might be more glass blowers out there in need of these same services that don’t have extra cash lying around to take it to a computer shop but might have extra glass materials, tools, finished work for me to oogle, etc.
The program I use to remote is called Teamviewer, this is a free program as long as your computer isn’t too broke to download. I commonly use TeamViewer for remote desktop sessions but if you already have “log me in” installed I can work with that as well. Below is a list of services I can perform long distance via Teamviewer:
• Virus Detection and Deletion
• Software Installs (I’ll provide the software)
• Printer Problems
• Slow PCs
• Registry Errors
• Anti-Virus installs
• Scanner issues
• Anything else that you can think of that I don’t have to be physically there for!
• Note: Unable to do full Operating Systems installs but would be able to send you DVDs and easy to follow instructions

Bugz,
With all the fees for getting a domain, hosting a domain, and being able to update your website after creation is a critical part which costs a lot. I can make you a website ... but I'd suggest something with an easy interface that others use for ease of updating.
Big Cartel and Etsy are two good ones who don't take a lot of fees. If you are looking for something slightly different there is another site I know of where buyers don't even have to sign up to buy, you get your own website addy, very minimal fees, very easy and simple but have to find the name.
If you needed help with Big Cartel or etsy feel free to shoot me a PM and we'll see what we can do.
What a great idea. I bet there are lots of us here that could use your help.![]()

You are a sweetheart. Thank you for not just asking for handouts.
If figure we can both help each other, no need for anyone to just mooch if they have skills to trade!
Bump!
Bumpty Bump! Im now re-fining down old memory into gold while times are slow!
If you guys are looking for cheap-ass hosting, I have a web/mail server on a Cogent backbone. If you need a mail server to use with your domain name (name@yourdomain.com), I'll host it on my server in exchange for colored shorts (glass, you goofball) or $25 a year. Same for hosting your basic flat HTML, ASP.Net, or Mojoportal web site.
