Naughty Local glass culture party, Detroit MI

Lost Marbles Gallery and Urban Pheasant Glass Present "A Festivus For The Rest Of Us."

    December 5, Tangent Gallery

Join us for an on going series of local glass culture events hosted by Lost Marbles Gallery and Urban Pheasant Glass. We will be featuring the works of several local artists varying in medium including glass demonstrations, live painting and sculpture. Music by the smooth sounds of Eastside Jon and friends. Come out for an evening of games, Seinfeld potluck, and an overall celebration of Festivus in the air.

Please bring a wrapped regifted item if you would like to participate in our holiday present exchange. There will be some interesting wook store items to be had in the mix.

There will be a potluck, sort of. Please bring a themed dish to pass. Bags of chips, fast food (especially fried chicken, tacos, Chinese, beefareno and Arby's.) We may or may not have a meatloaf competition. Pm us if you are interested. You can find several suggestions here>>>

We will also be including several Festivus traditions like the following.

Feats of Strength. Wanna arm wrestle? "Festivus is not over until the head of the household is wrestled to the floor and pinned".

Festivus pole. It's made from aluminum, instead of a tree.

Festivus miracles. How did you know? Miracles are abundant on this special night.

Airing of Grievances I got a lot of problems with you people! And now you're gonna hear about it!

    Festivus dinner
Meatloaf with red sauce, turkey or ham followed by a Pepperidge Farm cake decorated with M&M's.

I always thought it was spaghetti.

That is up for debate among scholars. I had to make the call. Meatloaf competition sounded better to me for some reason.

@hawkglass Check out this video from our last tag team event with Lost Marbles Gallery. We throw some pretty fun parties. One of my favorites is the Pheasant Egg hunt. It's like an easter egg hunt, but with glass prizes. That is a hoot. We bring torches and work during the show, vend, have friends dj, get loose, and heckle the shit out of each other. It's a real hoot. Michigan crew rulez. I wouldn't miss any event we throw if I were new to glass. We also have open houses at the shop where you can come chill out and watch collaborations with friends who stop by. It is a welcoming environment to new glass makers. Check us out on FB, we are Urban Pheasant Glass. I post events regularly.
