Ok first ever attempt at sleeving, but getting lots of ideas from it.. Still getting the hang of hollow work, please forgive the spoon. Nasty check- had to cut the kiln off short.

There is an ecstasy that marks the summit of life, and beyond which life cannot rise. And such is the paradox of living, this ecstasy comes when one is most alive, and it comes as a complete forgetfulness that one is alive. This ecstasy, this forgetfulness of living, comes to the artist, caught up and out of himself in a sheet of flame ; it comes to the soldier, war mad on a stricken battlefield and refusing quarter. ~ Jack London

Someone who does good inside out work should make the same piece twice, but fume silver first in one and gold first in the other…both inside before adding clear, just different order. I tried digging through pictures to find the example of this I have, but can't find it. It's really cool to see them side by side. I am terrible at IO. Takes me forever.

^ I took that tip to heart ( your gold first vs. silver first , a few weeks ago. )
I had always done the silver first..... I know it completely changes the look of a comb..... silver first , you get the blue white wisps on the edge... gold first , and you get a much more transparent comb with lots of purple and red.... little blue/green ..... strike it enough and the blue green/ yellow halo comes back.
Sorry no pics yet.
I did a fume demo yesterday. I should have thought to do that with two implosions. Lame…I failed.

After a short time fuming I started always using gold first 1. Because it just sticks better and I don't worry about burning off the silver when warming up the tube to accept the gold. 2. I get a way better mix that way.. Trial and error trial and error. Aymie your demo was great thank you. You validated a lot of my fuming habits that I had no idea if I made that up or heard it somewhere or if it just felt right! I still have a long way to go on the sleeving. I'll post my fumed remains on my regression threadthanks again. Loving the fume guys!
