Requirements for the Production Supervisor
-Experience of 3-5+ years in a scientific oriented shop, including experience on Lathes, Saw's. Grinders, Bench burners, Etc.
-Ability work through problems to keep production quotas on track
-Experience with production glass blowing including operations and equipment
-Familiar with application of colored borosilicate
-Great attention to detail
-Goal oriented and driven
-Accurate mathematical and accounting skills required
-Supervisory experience
-Experience with Quartz is a plus
-Basic understanding of lathe & torch mechanics / gas lines and troubleshooting ability.


Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor
-Supervise hourly production staff
-Training hourly production staff on new products, tasks, operations, etc.
-Being dynamic and able to fill in for any hourly production position in case of emergency, sickness, etc.
-Enforce safety rules and plant cleanliness
-Exceed Quota Expectations
-Product quality – Ensure hourly follow all quality procedures
-Enforce company polices
-Work with Management to make sure all customer shipments are made on time
-Assist operators in maintaining processes – to cycle time and meeting quality requirements
