she might not get 8bit art /me shrugs... I like it... yeah those dimensions were pretty much exactly what I intended to start withGood to know... I kinda want to do a goatse milli but I might have to pull down some thin stringers to get the details like i want them...
I saw the taco for sure man, looks like a great job for your first attempt. I tried my first stringer stack about a month ago. I tried to build a red anarchy sign with a black background in a 25mm tube. It totally turned out as a red "A" which I was happy enough with since my first name begins with "A". I feel like I learned alot from it. Next time I need to get my stringers smaller, and my starting tube larger to increase the amount of detail I can include. Next time I'm probably going to step up to some 44-50mm, it will sure take a lot longer to stack the stringers, but should show a ton more detail.
😧😧😧
Can tell a lot of work went into that one stroker. Damn man!
Nah, nah. See, I meant to do that.
Stroker, it wasn't all that long ago people were giving you shit for experimenting with color before mastering shaping (though even your beginner stuff was pretty darn nice). What a long way you've come in such a short time. I love seeing your pictures and it helps to know that even you have some days that don't go swimmingly. Looking forward to seeing the reincarnation.

The one great thing about repairs like this are you have nothing to loose and most likely alot to gain in skill.
As we move up the skills ladder our pieces we build get more and more complicated (if you are pushing yourself that is.
With this logic it will behoove you to get used to fixing stuff on your builds.
Very few heady pieces make to the shelf without at least one or two big fixes along the way.
Go out and fix it. It will feel good.
By the way I gutted that piece this morning and it has been rebuilt and 8s annealing as we speak.
May the force be with you.
You fixed the shit out of that. Great pic too! Total attitude adjustment you gave me today man thanks
Nah, nah. See, I meant to do that.
Stroker,
Would love to rep you again for that awesome piece of determination. Thanks for sharing!!
ooooooOOOOOOOoooooo pretty me likes... I have def. started to rethink pieces cracking etc after watching a preston hanna video in which he mentions pushing ones limits often leads to just the kind of days you mention and we all experience. Seeing this kinda drives that message home. Thanks fer that! Looks amazing. I really enjoy the laser gun designs and intend to try to incorporate some of that into some projects I have in mind if my skills will let me get there soon enough. I seem remember sitting in jail thinking about designs for stuff and wanting to make laser guns (I think I saw some Duck Dodgers or something) then getting either an issue of the flow or glassline and seeing some awesome work like yours and being happy people were doing just that already.
(Suddenly wishes he could check the magazines he doesn't have with him atm to see if there are actually laser guns in one of them, to confirm this isn't some bizarre fabrication of memory...) Stranger things have occurred in the ole noggin...
Damn stroker, that's gnarly.
