    Default Newb's progression thread

Been on the torch for a few days now so i thought what better time to start a progression thread. I'll never be any worse than now!

I've just started working hollow and am having a lot of trouble with opening a mouthpiece/blow tube, any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Good start. I'm about a month in now and struggled opening a round bottom for my blow tube also. Try picking out the end with a small rod or tweezers to thin the area then heat that area and blow it out in the flame to prevent bubble trash. You can ream it to size. Just really comes down to practice and more practice. Good luck

Try using some colored tubing. Also try sandblasting your finished spoons. You could start a little business with that shape you just need some color or sandblasting to finish it off.

So I just finished off my first T tank in my own 'studio' (garage). I probably had somewhere in the 12-20 hr mark with a teacher showing me the basics, but am on my own now.

Some marbles/pendys/junk a few colors but trying to work as much as possible with clear/silver. Also made a few fumed bats/spoons will get some pics on the next tank.
