What is meant by sleeving? Is that encasing?

Coil pot a full rod of color into the size of a blank then put it into a slightly larger diameter clear tubing and condense the tubing around the color blank. You now have your color encased in clear so you don't have to worry about overworking your colors. Exp green loves to be under clear

Are you using standard or heavy wall for the encasing sleeve? I'm sure you can use either, just curious about that spoon...

    Default Lookin' good, Bones

I finally learned me how to work strikers on the CC. Thought I was doomed to toothpaste/mud colors forever and ever. Alas, I have found the effects I want in the Mai Tais. This is Double Mai Tai for the neck and can, Mai Tai Pink for the bowl and a section in the join.

Here is a pic of the Mai tai pink pre strike if anyone was wondering how this color looks before and after it hits the kiln.

Any tips on bending the neck? It always looks just a little crooked if I get it too hot, but folds instead of bends of I don't get it hot enough. Haven't found that sweet spot I guess? Or maybe I'm just not bending it at the exact moment while it's cooling?

Any help with that step would be appreciated. I'm tired of making nice pieces then ruining it on the neck bend.

Both of these are flawed, but that's why I'm practicing. Sherlocktoberfest continues.

Accidentally grabbed persimmons strike instead of AP on that red one. Grrrrr.
