Berkeley Lathe (the company) is for sale!
A one-time opportunity to take over a successful business producing and selling an elegant, essential glass making tool that
competes favorably with Litton's pricey single head lathe.
I cannot devote the proper time to this business as I have other inventions and projects that are taking my attention. My 40 year background in
engineering including at NASA/JPL
working on experiments flown on several Shuttle flights led to the design and production of this lathe.
The 1/2 dozen buyers so far are very happy with it and at least one has been using it in production for over a year making joints and pipe parts
with no problems.
Included are a full size manual milling machine with x-y digital readout and a 13" lathe both of which are used to make most of the lathe
parts. A few parts were sent out for CNC work. Also included is a new heliarc welder for fabricating the aluminum belt guards.
