I, Nate (aka grandpa) started my glass journey in 1996 in C Springs Co after making a pilgrimage to Glasscraft with my life savings. It was a rough start. It actually took a number a months to figure out how to get the hole into the bottom of a bowl! After a couple of years of giving away a lot of un-annealed glass I bought a kiln (wrong kind), hit summer phish tour (97), and upon returning, rented a (real) studio and Profound Glass was born. Fast forward 17 years(!) and here we are bringing the very finest opals to the world's best glass artists. What a journey!
