I am looking for a torch comparable to the gtt phantom/mirage. Im not partial to any torch i am just using those for price/size reference. New to glass blowing. My buddy taught me a little on his phantom and i fell in love. I already have a kiln and a little space perfect for blowing! I have pay pal ready to go

Yep the new Beth's are pretty sweet .

Price point is really on point also .

I saw a few of them for sale lately .

It seems I notice a upsurge in torch upgrading from jan through tax season .

Unlike me some folks get big returns comming back to them .

Yup, me too Jr, no returns. Get on that bravo my friend! Coming from a guy who has owned every GTT from lynx, Phoenix, phantom, mirage, delta, and a scorpion to my kobuki, and every Bethlehem ever made( all types of pm2d model A, starfire, tigershark, baracuda, every type of pm2d model B, great white bravo(3), and champion. Just need the grand and I still use my bravo more than my buki! Saves alotta oxygen plus I can run her on 30 lpms oxycons for full performance. There's a lot also to be said about flame types, gtt high pressure/ low volume that makes a thrusting flame that can blow past your work piece easily and acually pushes the molten glass in some cases to the Bethlehem low pressure/ high volume flame with laminar flow that wraps right around your workpiece and super even heat that's also so nice on many colors that I rather not work on my gtt. Most people will still say always go GTT, but those days are fast on their way to everyone saying Bethlehem is the best alternative, or maybe gtt an alternative to getting a Bethy . That said I love my phantom mid size fire and can make just about anything on it, and the bravo just as much but more efficient and a softer yet super penetrating flame that's amazing for color development and super even vessel blowouts. Best of luck to you, I will be keeping my bravo because its just perfect!

someone brought a bravo in my shop for me to give my opinion on it, and i think its fuckin tits for the money, but hey I love ESL herbies, so what the fuck do i know. I have been burning on an ESL 23 mm lately while I tune my new PSL herbie (which turns out to be way harder than converting an ESL). This little 23 fuckin rages, I have been making some gigantic cans out of 44x4 with it, and its probably smaller than a phantom. I like these torches with a soft flame alot, i may wind up getting rid of the mirage if this 40mm PSL turns out ballin

I love working on a cc but I am going to buy a gtt next week and give them a other shot.I was too closed minded last time I had one.Not a fan of the way they put the valves in looked like jb weld and yea I will be using that tax $,my wife is super cool and lets me spend the taxes on glass stuff well some of it.

I've been working on a champ lately and I like the flame pretty well. I agree that they are over priced for what you get

for a beginner I think the bravo is a good choice used. Better than a nortel if ya smell me. Fuggin with this older PSL 40 mm Herbie all evening. Needs some more tweaking. Still might like the Nat gas herbie conversion better. No doubt this PSL is hot as fuck in comparison. I think that a dedicated gtt guy will never find value in a beth.... old or new beth. You get used to that "push" you get from a gtt and it is different. That is the part that throws me off when I switch anyhow. I like a really hot flame that does not actually move my glass like my gtt will.

Lots do not . I have ran a few without air .
