My first piece

Well, we finally got our workspace up and running and I was able to puts around last couple days and try and make something. So this was my third attempt at making a spoon. First couple almost came out but didn't quite make it. I accidentally blew my bowl hole way open on the first one using too much oxygen. And the second one I had done basically but when I cut it off the blow tube I close the mouthpiece. Tried to use a tungsten pick to open it up and ended up pushing a string of glass into the tube. But 3rd times a charm. I've never worked with tubing before this and I also never worked on a torch, just furnace pulls in a beginner class I took. So not too bad considering :P

Been working on my shaping. Spoons are coming out much better. Did my first fume implosion also. First time fuming anything. Just used silver and backed it with cobalt 5. Yes I know the bale is jank as all hell.

So I have been trying to do some wrap and rakes. I suck at it. This is like my 3rd one. Lots went wrong here. I think my biggest mistake is not getting a more even layer of wraps/rake. But anyway I think I got a pretty good strike out of the amber purple. That's about all I'm happy with on this one. Any tips on melting in your color better for wrap and takes?
