I think the commute may be a bit much...
There are tons of people in Virginia Beach. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find someone within a few miles of you that would rent you some space.
Hey everybody! so Ive been blowing glass for about 2 years now and live on the east coast in Virginia beach... i work out of my shed in my backyard on my own. I've come a long way since Ive started and am very interested in meeting/working with anyone and everyone! I was looking into the new Eugene studio for renting a space for a couple weeks/month or so.. and was wondering if anyone had any input on this studio? anything helps! Any info or any other recommendations is always helpful. Thanks everyone much love! - jowdie

this is very true.. but I'm eager to do a bit of traveling on the west coast this year as well. i know a couple people in VB and richmond and i do plan to getup with them here soon, its not so much the space that I'm worried about because i love my space, but more about meeting making some connections/gaining knowledge/expanding as much as possible.
Have you thought about Asheville? You can't throw a rock down there without hitting someone who is a glassblower.
That shop is great! Lots of inspiration around there.
All the public shops around here have something unique to offer. Glasscraft, Cornerstone, Mountain Jam, and 3charm all rent spots. I rented at 3charm while my studio was being built and had a great experience, would totally rent there again and have sent friends there. If you want contact info, lemme know.![]()

Hey man. I'm in the Portsmouth area, aspiring lampworker. Having some difficulty finding halfway decent lessons around me.
Mind getting in contact?
