    Icon2 The Future of TMP

After nearly 26 years, this is a post I knew would come someday, but it’s still a hard one to write.

Since its founding on June 1, 2000, TalkGlass.com (TMP) has been a constant in my life. What Kristian Turley started as a simple space for glass artists to connect, share, and learn grew into something much bigger - a community, a history, and for many of us, a home. The conversations, the knowledge, the friendships… they’ve meant more to me than I can fully put into words.

I’m writing to share that I’ll be stepping back, and Amir, from Lampwork Supply, will be taking over TMP.

Amir understands what TMP is, and just as importantly, what it has meant to all of us over the years. He’s committed to preserving its history and spirit, which is a massive undertaking, given how much has been built here, and I’m grateful he’s willing to carry that forward. The space will change, and the important things he could save will be on the new platform, blow.glass. Don't worry, the TalkGlass.com domain will point to it for some years, also, so we don't accidently loose any of us. The active members of the melting pot will be getting invites to join the new website once we get past the beta testing phase.

We both sincerely hope that these changes breathe new life into the forums and revive the glass community and spirit. We also hope that this feels like a soft handoff rather than a sudden change. The heart of TMP has always been the community, and that doesn’t change. You all are what made this place what it is.

Thank you for the years, the conversations, the creativity, and the care you’ve all poured into this space.

I’ll still be around, just in a different way. And I’m excited to see where TMP goes next.
