Many people refer to the hothead as &quot;hh&quot; in lampwork speak. While many have said this torch is only capable of making small beads, few have ever unlocked its true power potential.<br /> <br /> The hothead's secret potential dates back to 2009 when it was first discovered by Guiness York, a chinchilla farmer working on his father's lampworking farm. He combined the MAPP gas along with goats urine to create a powerful fuel. With this fuel York was able to create a new type of flame characteristics. York recorded a 42&quot; flame length and a 4&quot; diameter. At the same time he wrote in his studies that the hothead could penetrate 9&quot; solid borosilicate.
