Borosilicate

Borosilicate glass ("boro") is commonly referred to by the general public as "Pyrex" glass -- one of the first brand names under which it was sold. It is very resistant to thermal shock compared to soft glass. It is sold now under a wide variety of brands -- Schott, Pyrex, Chinex, etc.
Also, the primary ingredient in Borosilicate Pancakes. That, and Pancakes.
