Cambridge, Mass., porcelain and glass factory, founded in 1814. Producers of the first pressed glass in the United States. Production included: Amberina (originators) glass Druggists' glass Lamps Overlay glass Silver glass Tableware See New England Bottle Company. New England Glass Company (NEGC). It came from the purchase of two Cambridge firms, at auction: the Boston Porcelain & Glass Company and Emmet, Fisher & Flowers, in 1818. On of four partners was Deming Jarves. Production included: engraved glass paperweights form approx. 1850 to 1880. plain glass pressed glass.
