haha ya tru that why i didnt paint the barrel... just the manifold but the base might get a lil messed up if hot glass hits it well see... i put a lot of coats of primer, paint and clear coat soo im hopin it last for a lil while

thanks guys its really means a lot for sure! ya twist i was able to save it.. gonna shorten the lower horn and put small fume trap mib all around it i think.... might end up giving it to my bro in law..hes new to glass and i used a lot of the few sticks he had of that color lol soo im sure he will like a surprise

hey guys hows it goin! been a lil bit since ive been on here.. thought id do a lil update.. i ended up taking about a 3 month break from glass built a fish tank room in the house and just did other things...relax ect.. but now im back in action and ready to go.. made these lil mini tubes and i think im gonna be doing a lot of them.. the first run will be proly 20 of them.. all clear, some work, fully worked ect..

then i decided to do a shop rebuild! was gettin bord with the layout. wasnt good use of space.. and i couldnt clean some spots so i tore it down still working on it right now.. im about day 2 i think... heres some pix

built a new bench this time a island bench with a smaller base then a top for more leg room and it opens the shop up more..

then i painted the wall behind my station then we glued the tile to the bench this time cause when they were just palced on the bench b4 glass would get in there then crumble up.. also mounted the tv closer.

still gotta take the hoods down and remount them over the bench and i gotta mount the exhaust blower up again.. set up the sound system and do some fine tuning and setting up but its gettin close to being done! i want to build a custom torch stand so it still sits over my bench but i can pull the torch out away from my bench for those welds that require you to have elbows and blow tubes below the bench.. im sure theres some things im forgetting but thats what i got so far! :) ill keep updating as i go

got the hoods up today.. still need to put 2 braces up then i can take down the 2x4s.. cant mount the exhaust blower till those 2x4s come down cause i need them to build the stand lol and need to build a stand for the kiln since its not gonna be on my bench this time.. but its a pain in the ass to hang these kilns... the 2x4s in the roof are 24 on center and some are having trouble finding studs.. and i didnt think about it but i cant get between the hoods lol so the back bracing is a lil tricky

finally got the hoods mounted and hanging free and started building a lil corner bench for my kiln..been down longer then i planned.. tomorrow the kiln bench will be done and the exhaust blower should be mounted on the wall again and well be in business

ok i finished the kiln bench today.. cut the tile and glued it down.. and put a lil border to make it fancy.. also put up my starwars movie posters from the 90s.. gonna put my action figures that are still in the box on the green wall as well to.. tomorrow im going to get the stuff to make the torch stand hopefully... and get more ducting and im back in business!

thanks man! heres a lil shop update got the exhaust blower mounted up just need to pick up some more ducting... this thing was a pain to get up there let me tell u lol.. almost folded me in half a few times with arms fully extended and on tippy toes lol i got it up there and bolted it down..

thanks guys! ya i went to get all the parts today but the place was packed and i needed another part from a different store for sizing b4 i got the metal.. but pretty much im gonna get a 2" square tube and mount it under my bench. and im gonna screw some hvy duty drawer sliders on the left and right side of the square tube.. then get a piece of channel an mount the other sliders on the inside of that... and pretty much slide it over the square tube.. from there im just going to weld some metal to the channel tube going up and over my bench top and mount my torch to it... to keep it easy and light im not gonna use the gtt stand for my mirage just the legs on the stand and make a mount for that.. hoping to get everything tomorrow so i can set it all up

quick lil update.. a few rigs.. finally made some recyclers.. all clear on the rigs will be getting sand blasted, photoresist ect.. ill post more pix later i have a bunch of pendants and other rigs i havent posted.. enjoy :)
