To me, Summer up here is deep blue and forest green. Vegetation is a good plan - maybe incorporate some trees or vines like that sculpture in your photo thread with the leaves.
As far as materials, I expect we'll want to do some tube pulls, and will need blues, greens, black, unobtanium, and white at least. The blue-green range of GA or NS colors (Peacock, Twilight, Agua Azul) might be a good idea, plus a base cobalt or green for solid work.
Julian, all that sounds great, im really open to anything at this point. I imagine your pulling the blues from water or the sky?
To me the sun is a big part of summer... do you think that if we incorporate a mib/disk to be the sun that it will get too busy with blue/green/yellow?? From an artistic point i want it to be ballanced.
I like your suggestion of colors so far. I wouldnt mind seeing some softer bright yellow/orange accents like GA rasta gold, or marigold...

I like these ideas so far, I think that we should try to have a range of greens so all the summer vegetation is covered but i like the emphasis on dark green an blue.
I think the sun would be a cool addition as long as it wasn't too busy. This maybe getting too far a head but i was thinking that if we threw done a gong piece we could make the slide into the sun.
Cant wait to create this

Right, the blues of the water and sky come to mind. Actually, I forgot about the sky... I live in Duluth, which doesn't have a sun for the most part. The sky isn't blue here, either. But that's a different story, let's see...
Sounds good, then. It's probably not necessary to make more definite plans until we get together.

Rrrg, I need to get my shop back set up and get back in practice before this.
So, we also have gongshow and Luke from the zoar shop on the team.
Hey zoarglass, is Luke on the forum at all? Just wondering what his experience level is.

ok so are we just gonna wing this? honestly thats usually my MO. I have really been wanting to do detailed sketches of involved pieces before I begin, but so far I havnt, maby I will draw up a few ideas for us to play on.

Yeah, I think we should make definite plans once we're about to do it.
We need to get together a list of supplies for zoarglass, too. I'll put together a list and post it in the morning, unless anyone else wants to estimate what we'll probably need.
I think going for a lush green/watery color scheme would be good, so let's tentatively go with that. I'll bring some other colors if we decide to go with something more warm.
sounds like a plan, im ok with whatever at this point... im soo exited!

Hey guys whats up? I just found out Im on your team and hell yea summer time is the shit. A lot of cool ways to express summer in glass, and I really dig the ideas you were discussing with some vines and foresty growth. Also we cant forget about the beach in the summer. we could do some cool sea life type shit with jellys or other creatures. Anyway Im really excited to meet and work with you guys, It should be a really good time!
