I prefer DA galaxy series (most colors) for pulls. It is tough to burn out and can be pulled quite a ways.
    Hope this helps

you also want to learn how the dicro is sprayed so when you pull your tube the sparkle 'settles' for the best look. Certain parts of a sheet are way better than others. I would call jay at d alchemy an he'll give you the run down.

The thick stuff works good for tube pulls. Less clear coating. Just preheat it in the kiln.

OK this is the deal with starship for me...i love it, but the thick part always flakes off for me, when i stick out back in the flame it flakes off, when i kiln it it flakes off in the kiln then when that parts used it splits easy doesnt look as good. obvously ther must be away around it. i havnt used tons of dichro or nothing , i can get it encased and such with out burning, i just done my first tube pull with it the otheer day and it was blinging till i reballed it up and it burnt out a lil especially on the part that was kinda flaked from the start. ive only tried star ship and some cbs one that was totally different than starship(was flaky, not like needles) so yea i guess any help is appreciated.

like the zig tutorial on GP.org back it with color lay it down on a peice of 44x4 drop my color combo on the rest of the tube, coat with 10 mil clear , rage then pull.... the dichro was 3-4 mil starship but yea gotta figure out to not make the dichro flake off before coating...maybe lower kiln temp?

ok, i checked it out and normally i don't do half dichro haf color tube pulls when im making a dichro tube, but if i were i would draw your color all over the entire tube, (half black half other color pattern) then melt all the color in. take your dichro , punty to the middle top. with the dichro facing your tube tag the bottom center of the dichro to the bottom blowtube end then lay it up the tube semi cold. use your punty to tag the top of the dichro to the end of the tube. then use a living glass works masher to work the dichro in from the bottom center to the top center.. then work in each side. and then i would prefer to tube encase... man hard to explain..

cool, its all good man the tube pull went bomb!!, just having toruble withthe flaking of the dichro when i first preheat it, but i barely use dicro for much and a flash back hit me to just start it in a pure propane flame til the needles start showing the encase. ill give it another go when i get more dichro i guess...like everything!
thanks though i always appreciate yalls help, its tough where i live sometimes but this site always hooks me up!!
if you go to zigs gallery on GP theres a tutorial i done it EXACTLY like that.
