I apprentice to a locally famous glass artist named Marc Kornbluh. I'm working as much as i can on as many things as i can. I love the forum!!!

How the hell do you blow glass in Austin and not know there are twenty or so of us here?

Hey all
Erik Berglund here AKA JackpotMonkey AKA JPM of Erik's Alaskan Glass (Business Name pending me deciding on a better one), Been working Hard Glass (Boro) for about 8 Months now, Metal Art for about 2.5 Years (mostly CAD controlled Plasma Cutters for Art work and speciallize fabrications) primarily in Mild Steel and Aluminum, Mixed Media Art for most of my life.

My Most Recent Metal Projects Can be seen Hanging in front of Acrodusters Studio and the 'Retail Entrance' Metal Sign on Winship Designs' Store (these were made as thankyou gifts for all their help getting me started in glass) they are also shown in my 'Murphys Custom Metal Art' Picasa Web Album (link found below) I will be posting pictures of my glass studio shortly, unfortunately the metal shop that I worked for has for the most part gone out of business due to the economy, though I still have access to the equipment (which i plan on utilizing to try to make myself some glass tools like diamond shears, jacks etc) so there probably wont be much new stuff in that album.

My name is Hunter and I'm 19 years old. Orginially out of cali south bay, but now in Raleigh NC. I'm looking to get behind the torch as soon as I find a mentor/apprenticeship so I can get started with this soon to be hobby haha.

Hey everyone, my name is Genone but most know me by Geno, I've been collection glass for 10 years, and I went to N3rd's shop to see some glass being blown, ever since then I've wanted to blow glass. Saved money and bought my GTT lynx and now I'm saving up for tools and some color and clear glass, but I'm hooked, even as kid I loved glass...

I love this site, I've learned so much as is, and learned a tech on here yesterday and tried it out last night, it worked...
