Yeah, I'd say that vent is a little on the weak side. The smoke did evacuate however the majority of it was pushed up by the velocity of the smoke bomb. Also, your bench is a little narrow due to the lack of interior space so your torch is going to end up being back more like where the bomb rotated so your test was actually pretty accurate. You also don't appear to have any other fans running. Unless your going to stay in a cold climate, your shop is going to get hot and you'll probably have some fans on you to keep cool. You need to factor these in with your smoke test. Did you have the door to the camper open during your test? If not, where is your make up air coming from? I would recommend upping the CFM of the fan if possible. If not, at least set your torch up on something to get it as close to the fan if possible. I also wouldn't recommend using any powders or heavy fuming with your current set up.
