Your pendants are starting to look top notch lever!! I really like to 2nd and 3rd photos best, of your last post. Glad to hear your sale went well, and that you got what you were asking. Hopefully thats because you were asking fair prices and the shop owner was treating you well, as opposed to you under-selling your work. Never under-sell your work, once you've done that the shop owner will feel they have you in their evil hands!!

Nice job man, you are really coming along fast. I like that white striped pendant quite a bit. I'm glad have a good shop to support you too! Those wrap n rakes have some nice colors going on in them and adding the combs and cool marbles will really help them sell. Let me see if it allows me to give ya a rep today.

Thanks everybody I'm having a blast melting glass it is the funnest most challenging thing I've ever done!!!!!!

I think I got lucky and picked the best shop in town. They are a really nice couple that own it. I gave him a fair price I think I gave him a little high price thinking he would haggle me but he jumped right on it. Yeah gambit that's what the shop owner said when I asked if he wanted anything in particular he said add cool marbles they sell faster and he wants bubblers FML I'm scared of them for some reason. I guess I just need to nut up or shut up and give it a go.

Bubs are super easy. Especially stemless. It's just one weld.

Nice strike on the AP. PM me if your need help with bubs. Dropping the downstem and polishing the weld will likely be the toughest part. Hammer style is a little easier to keep from looking crooked than sherlock but both have their pros and cons overall.

So TlkQ came by this week and stayed for a couple day's and we did some melting together. It was totally awesome I learned a butt load off of him he's the man for swinging through. We did a little colab together he did most of the work I was just happy to watch and ask questions. I did the amber purple section the disk and the marble he did the blue moon and carmel section all the shaping and the Assembly everything was going fine till when we were flame striking the green exotic on the disk and it checked so after that he didn't put to much thought on cleaning up the moth piece. Now I have a cool little heady piece that will be my daily driver. He also took me out with him while he did some sales so I could see what it was all about it was a really cool experience.....

I learned a lot now it's just practicing what I learned and putting it to use. I'll post some pics of the spoons I did last night here in a little bit they came out really good started messing around with some cool shapes. I didn't know what I was missing by not using a blowhose all the time it pissed me off cause I didn't know how to use it properly TlkQ gave me the insight I was looking for though. I had a blast TlkQ your welcome back here anytime bro. It was one hell of a learning experience and very humbling.

That's cool as shit Levi, love the colors on that piece. Working with another artist(s) is one hell of a learning experience for sure. You can learn a lot by just watching someone manipulate glass, besides yourself. Unfortunately I've only ever got to work with one other lampworker so far but I'm grateful for what all I learned from him.

looks like your figuring out some of those strikers, that ap w&r look good. also try double wrap and 2 way rake, wrap one color then go back and wrap another between the previous wrap. for raking it instead of just raking one way with your 5mm rod, go down and then comeback up right next to the other so it rake both ways and there are no gaps between you color or the rake.

So I was at the end of making spoons tonight and I had about 500 psi of oxy left and a pretty big blank left over from one of the tubes I was pulling pipes off of So I said what the hell and started making my first 2 section piece it's a dry but I pulled it off and it was really fun. First off I would like to thank TLKQ for all the instruction and help when he was down if it wasn't for him showing me how to use the blow tube properly how to make a good weld and how to bridge I don't think It would have came out as good. Your the man bro and one hell of a glass blower. Next time I do one I will draw it out and have a game plan instead of just going for it.

Here she is I'll post pic's tomorrow of her when she comes out of the kiln she should strike up nice for me.

    Thanks for looking...

    Levi
