Misha, You are so strong to do such awesome memorial art for your Dad. I am procrastinating doing this kind of work because it is so hard. I've got the cremains of loved ones waiting for me to make memorial art, but I get depressed. Your creation is inspiring me to see the love and happiness, and share it with my family.

Thank you. It is hard emotionally for sure, but I see it bring joy so it's worth it.

I am going to make a marble from my pets for sure. My dog is 12 and my cat is 17. So someday soon I will make that memorial.
My friend made pendants from my grandparents. They were cool. They take on new meaning with the ashes in them.

Yeah you have to change your working habits on an oxy con. I have to wait for the flame to change from large to small and when the second oxy con kicks on and off. I have been using a wide range of colder flames. I keep my striker on my table because sometimes the flame gets blown out when I need a small flame. Then I can relight it fast and adjust until the purity and pressure are back to normal.
But mostly I like that I can work full days without interuption of running out of tanked gas. I get more done. missing those half days once of twice a week and sometime full days really add up. Not to mention the out of pocket expenses of oxygen tanks. I used one bbq tank of propane in the past 5 weeks working full-time. I used 1 bbq tank in 4 weeks on my bbq. So the studio now cost me as much as using the bbq. That is because I have electric included for now. but that should not cost more then $75 a month maybe full-time. I was charged $50 month estimate for the kiln and the oxy cons use 1/2 the amount of electric.

    kicks on and off?
do you have them hooked up through a "brain" that controls the on/off of your oxycons?

they make more noice sometimes, which I assume is working making O2. Then when I make the small flame they stop making noice like that. Especially one unit.

Dang dude, already sizing them up envisioning them in a piece... talk about gold in your eye, I bet they hide every time the kiln clicks!?! Haaaaha (think you were trying to be funny & it was comedy)

Might as well jump on this ship before it sails; Misha, it says a lot about you as a craftswomen that so many people entrust you with the task of making something priceless.

Nomad. Take hair from your pets and BBQ it in tinfoil and use the ashe's to encase them in pendants. People/animals don't have to be dead to encase them in glass.
