    Here is a quick little guy I made to show my apprentice some basic tricks.

    (Didn't notice it focused on the background until I uploaded it)

    It is just a clear prodo piece but this design will keep you on your toes during the build.
    A few more and I think I will have it dialed in.

    Encasing the California shaped opal was scary, but it went perfectly. Stoked, thanks to whoever mentioned something about popping a hole in the side of the tube so I can poke the opal into the edge. It really helps.

    Also, opals are a bitch to photograph. So is sparkle. This marble was a challenge to shoot.

    thats cool misha. abt how far in does the opal sit? it seems pretty close to the surface - is that safer than say deeper encasement?
