Color Rods

The answer to the often-heard question "How do you get the color in there?" After the answer is given, the questioner usually follows up the first question with a look of confusion.

Color Rods can be purchased in first-quality (also called firsts), odds, and seconds. Borosilicate color rods are generally sold in lengths of approximately 20" and varying diameters, most commonly between 4mm and 25mm, with diameters around 7mm being the most common.
