Cork on a stick

A cork on a stick is a layman's term for a makeshift holder made by boring out a cork and sticking a piece of tube through it.

This technique is especially useful in fabricating condensers, gas bubblers, and general lathe use (fantastic when used with a small piece of blowtube on the end connected to a swivel).

kiva ford uses a cork on a stick as a method of holding a goblet cup during assembly. A cork that fits into the cup lip has a piece of 10mm through it, acting as a handle/blowpipe.
