Marver

French, corruption of the term marbre, "marble." The flat polished, stone, like marble, or metal surface onto which the hot glass gather is pressed and rolled into shape. Also, adornments such pieces of glass or gold leaf can be applied by marving. Also, to marver is to shape glass by rolling it on a marvering surface.
