Welding

welding is nothing more then making two items one. The process in glass is as follows. For rod and solids make both surfaces to be welded white hot. When both surfaces are molten bring them together and hold. If done right all will be one. If you are not fully welded reheat area not welded to molten and let flow together. On tubing and hollow forms. Blow your hole out or clean the end of your tube. I usually flare out a small lip on each side that are the same size. Heat both lips untill molten and push together. Right after they come together and you can see the glass together give a slight blow to make the weld even. If you have any doubt that the weld is good you can work around it slowly heating a small section watching it melt then blowing back to shape. I always work a section then once it isnt red go straight across from it and work that part of the weld.
