Haven't really been on the torch as of late been low on funds and having a hard time keeping my oxy tanks filled here's a couple of things I did last night.

And a bubbler the weld is solid but it could have been a little cleaner, 90 more and I'll be on the right track lol.

    Thanks for looking

That frit spoon came out nice! Im still having issues getting it melted in all the way. It looks like it is, then after I pull off my blowtube I'll notice some areas that aren't and its too generally too late to do anything about it. Anways, nice work!

Thanks jonny, yeah It's tricky getting it melted in all the way I still mess up. What I do is when I think it is melted in all the way I go ahead a melt it in one more time just for safe measures I still get one out of 5 that isn't melted in it's usually my favorite one. The more I do the more comfortable I get with them that's for sure.

So this is pretty cool my 12 year old daughter is interested in glass so I'm about to take her over to the studio and start teaching her gathers and maria's. Should be really fun I hope she'll be my new glass buddy I'll post pics tomorrow.

Someone may have said this already and it's like 2 months late, but on page 8 you said aurora cracked up on you. One guy I met told me not to work it more than once. If it isn't glowing don't heat it back up again or it'll crack. I haven't gone back to it, but I used to have the same problem.

    Thanks sketchball

Yeah I haven't went back to it yet either for I/O spoons that is but I use it in implosions all the time. I have a hunch that the cracking I was having was from not having it melted in all the way. I'll give it another go when I get more oxy been out and with Christmas here it's hard to spend cash on it.

Yeah I've been meaning to get down there if I had a license it would be alot easier but I got to have my wife taxi me around lol. I'll see if I can get down there so that would make it the 20th right?

BTW I think I picked up an apprenticeship with a local glass blower he's been melting for 12 years and is pretty skilled I got lucky to meet up with him and he's coming over today to do some melting see what I got and throw a colab down.

I'm pretty stoked everything I know about glass I owe to this forum and the members that have helped me out, I would like to thank The rookie, TLKQ, and gambit glass they took time out of their days to help me out and answer questions I will never forget it thanks guy's. I would also like to thank all the members that have wrote tutorials That have helped me out along the way there are way to many to name them all off. I hope I'll be able to contribute knowledge one of these day's Thanks melting pot for everything!!!!!!!

Oh, yeah. You're right it is the 20th, not next thursday. They might not be doing it since it's so close to Christmas. I'll find out and let you know.

Lookin' good, hit those chill marks inside the bowl after pushin', keep 'em smooth.
