well I tried my first inline last night, and found out my kiln wasn't set up right , couldnt close the lid once i got itin after i hooked on the neck so,, I ended up working the whole thing and bench colling till it was done then in the kiln heheh, and I jacked up the ring seal when i stuck i about a 1/2 inch off center lol,..

So I just went with it cuz I at least wanted the first try to work.. used all scrap glass too was great,,

LOL so I got the basic of it now Thx for the vid Lorax, just had try it so heres my crap lol

and did some prep too, I think Im going to start stocking prep itll just save me time later , and its good when i dont know what i want to do hehe.. been workin the night shift 9 pm to 5 am lol been 103 lats few days..

Thx Swamp, heres my first oil slide I did a custom for a guy last night unobtanium with clear laid on big bubble.18mm. matched his big tube.. but not the shape heheh YEs , wanted somethin diff than round once i started.. I dont think i like doing custom work at all.. can never get it just right..

I think from now on Im just going to be like pick color but Ill make some stuff and if ya like it ya like it if not, ill have options heheh that works great..

you could try using a diffrent type of clear? for like surface work and maybe even encasment. im not sure there probably all the same who knows

edit something thta might fix this aswell that might look sweet aswell... coil on some white onto a tube or what ever colour whites prob best then coil on the green ontop of it :P

heat the white until it's molten. heat just the end of your eyeball millie. stick the millie into the white and wiggle it as it cools. it will break off the end leaving you a nice little slice of millie on the white. the more of the millie you heat before you stick it, the thicker your slice will be. :chilling:

So crip, you're saying you don't use blowtubes? I went back and looked at the five handles you made. You start there, once it's cool, and just hold it straight up? And since you have permanent braces you don't need to bridge anything to your blowtube. This is seeming easier, at least for pieces big enough to merit this.

LOL I tried this old school looking stemless bub/bong hybrid earlier out of amber tube, Looked so cool, so retro with the amber tube, you'd a loved it, but it died while I was putting the last leg on. Was about the size of these. Do you find it alot easier to kiln all your sections between each weld, operation as it grows? I cant seem to be able to go back to a cooled spot without cracking shit. You PWN me Crip with these bad boys. Im so sicka doing small pieces, but I suck at bigger multi section stuff.

yo i'm a bit late but on that unexplianeum shit - could you mix it with like equal parts of clear? it would thin it out and make the coe more closer to the rest of the clear? i donno if it's worth the effort tho, or if it would even work w/ boro? you'd probably have to anneal the resulting rods before you could work them other wise they'd be shocky no?

I have some glow stick at home but I still have trouble to work it without loosing the glowing effect , I work them with a lot of oxy to keep it as cool as possible but in the end it alway half glow or not glow at all , what temp did you garage and aneal them ? any tips you can give me ??

Thx guys.. 5 glo sticks,, and not to oxy on the flame that can bubble it up for me, as long as it doesn't bubble it shouldn't lose glow..

really :puzzled: ..... I have made slide with it , and work it so cold that it took like 10 minuts to melt some 2mm dot and it was'nt glowing at all when it went out of the kiln :( what the hell I'm I doint wrong ?? what temp do you use to garage and anneal it ?

Ya I def dont work it cold like the that just dont bubble it.. I keep my kiln at 990 then aneal at 1050..

Nice pendant. I never thought of making a hollow one with two holes for the chord.
